(82), Redondo Beach, CA-born, passed away on April 13, 2018. He is predeceased by his brother, Shigeto Yamaoka and survived by his beloved wife, Emmy Yamaoka; daughters, Susan (Gregg) Yokoyama, Donna (Todd) Katayama, Joanne (Ken) Kato; five grandchildren; siblings, Masato Yamaoka, Shizue (Kinya) Tatsumi, Tsuneko Kono, Mitsue Naito, Mamoru (Sachiko) Yamaoka, Sachiko Ito; sisters-in-law, Michiko Yamaoka and Shigeko Muraoka; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at San Fernando Valley Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 9450 Remick Ave., Pacoima, CA 91331.
