(91) peacefully passed away on July 1, 2013 in Los Angeles. He is survived by wife, Asako Kimura; children, Phyllis (Eugene) Hayashibara, Claudia (Carlos) Nakata, and Marie (Ken) Baker; grandchildren, Akemi, Lauren, Gina, Kenji, Kevin, and Justin; siblings, Yuki (Tad) Tanagi, Yone (Aki) Asai, and Hiro (Henry) Shimizu; sisters-in-law, Nobuko Shoji, Hanako Oshita, and Clara Ike; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park.
