(92) passed away on August 22, 2011 in Harbor City. He is survived by his wife, Clara Mitsue Uyema; children, Geraldine (Frank) Adachi, Reginald (Rose), Thomas, Earl, and Wayne Uyema; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Haruko Shikiya and Herman Tokumei Uyema; brothers-in-law, Seiki (Yoko) Tamae, Robert (Lisa) Tamae; sisters-in-law, Jean Kawakone and Betty Ganeku; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00AM at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena.
