(83) passed away on September 16, 2010 in Los Angeles. She is survived by her husband, Yoshiaki Yanagihara; children, Ryugen Watanabe and Tsuneo (Kazuko) Hieda, the latter of Japan; brother-in-law, Hirotake Yanagihara of Japan; also survived by many other relatives in Japan.

A private funeral service was held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko from LA Hompan Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating
